SPEAKERS:

香港前水務署署長高贊覺博士， 銀紫荊星章

  • 高贊覺作為東深供水工程的關鍵推動者，其個人經歷與專業貢獻深刻影響香港的供水歷史。他不僅見證工程從無到有的艱辛，更以實際行動確保香港長期水資源安全，因而被譽為「東江水之父」。
  • 高博士於一九六八年投身香港政府工作，期間他於東江水供港系統上作出重貢獻。由一九七八至二零零一年間分別以工程師、高級工程師、助理署長及署長的身份參與四度擴建工程，為此計劃上給予全面的支援。並參與東深供水工程的四次擴建改造。
  • 畢業於香港大學土木工程系，高博士擁有英國伯明罕大學水源科技碩士學位, 中國海洋大學環境工程工學博士的榮譽，他又獲委任為哈爾濱工業大學深圳研究生院終生兼職教授。除此之外, 他也是香港大學、香港科技大學、香港城市大學、香港公開大學,以及香港高等教育科技學院、香港專業教育學院(青衣)及海洋大學等學府出任客席教授或顧問委員會委員一職。為表揚高博士對香港發展作出的貢獻, 他於 1994 年獲委任為太平紳士更在 2006 年獲頒銀紫荊星章。

PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS:

  • *香港水荒歷史*：1963 年大旱期間，香港曾依賴內地緊急運水，後周恩來總理批示興建東深工程，1965 年竣工後徹底解決缺水問題。
  • *工程建設*：高贊覺參與東深供水工程的擴建，形容此為「光榮使命」。他提到，1960 年代工程技術落後，建設者需以人力克服物資短缺，例如用木樁壓實路面、通過八級抽水將東江水逆向引入深圳水庫等。
  • *現代供水機制*：粵港雙方定期協調東江水水質與供水量，香港政府亦會考察廣東的供水設施，確保供水穩定。

  3. The Speech by Dr. William KO SBS, ex-Director of WSD.
  4. Closing remark by Dr. Eric Wong, Vice President of HKIWSS.
  5. Visit Building Rehabilitation Resource Centre (BRRC) – Optional

CPD CERTIFICATE: 

  • 2 hours CPD electronic certificate will be issued upon participant’s attendance
